Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Bayise Tutor website and services — tutoring, writing services and the lecture video marketplace. By booking a lesson, ordering writing support or buying or selling a lecture video, you agree to them. Where a student is under 18, the parent or guardian accepting these terms does so on the student's behalf.
1. Services
Bayise Tutor provides personalised online tutoring, academic writing support and a marketplace for recorded lectures. Tutoring is delivered online by independent educators. Writing services are delivered by academic writers and research specialists. Lecture videos are supplied by educators and delivered digitally.
2. Booking and scheduling
- The first assessment lesson is free of charge and carries no obligation to continue.
- Sessions are booked at agreed times in the student's local time zone.
- Cancel or reschedule at least 12 hours before a session at no cost. Later cancellations are charged as a session.
- If a tutor misses a session, it is rescheduled or refunded at your choice.
3. Fees and payment
Rates are confirmed in writing before the first paid session and may vary by subject, level and frequency. Block bookings and bundles are discounted as stated at the time of purchase. Fees are payable in advance unless agreed otherwise. Lecture video prices are set by the selling educator.
4. Academic integrity
You agree not to submit work produced by our writers as your own academic work. Our writing services provide coaching, structural feedback, editing and commissioned work that is not intended for academic submission. We may decline any request that would breach an institution's academic integrity rules, and we may end a relationship where those rules are repeatedly disregarded.
5. Recording and materials
Lessons are not recorded by us without the consent of the student and, for minors, the parent or guardian. Session notes and plans are provided to the student and, for minors, to their parent or guardian. Materials supplied by a tutor remain the tutor's intellectual property and are licensed to you for personal study only.
6. Lecture videos
Purchased lectures are licensed for your personal study. You may not redistribute, resell, publicly perform or upload them elsewhere. Educators who publish material confirm that they hold the rights to it and that it does not infringe any third party's rights. We may remove a listing that breaches these terms.
7. Conduct
Students agree to attend sessions prepared and to treat educators with respect. Educators agree to deliver sessions professionally and to safeguard the welfare and privacy of students, particularly minors. Either party may end a tutoring relationship; where a match is unsuitable we will offer a replacement educator.
8. Intellectual property
The Bayise Tutor name, website and materials are our property. Educator recordings remain the educator's property, licensed to us for listing and delivery. Student work remains the student's.
9. Disclaimers
We provide teaching and academic support. We do not guarantee a particular grade, examination result or admission outcome, and outcomes depend on the student's own work. Services are provided with reasonable skill and care.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability in relation to any service is limited to the fees paid for that service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
11. Changes and termination
We may update these terms and will post the revised version with a new effective date. You may stop using the services at any time. We may suspend or end access where these terms are breached.
