Who we are
Personalised teaching, online since 2021.
Bayise Tutor provides personalised online tutoring and academic support for students from elementary school through high school, college and adult learning. Since 2021 we have connected students with experienced educators who provide individual instruction based on each learner's academic needs, goals and schedule.
Why we started
Most students do not need more teaching. They need teaching aimed at them — the specific topic that did not land, explained by someone with the time to notice why. In a class of thirty, that time rarely exists.
So we built the opposite: one student, one educator, a plan written for that student, and sessions scheduled around their life rather than the other way round. That has been the model since 2021.
What we offer
Tutoring is the core, but academic support rarely stops at a lesson. Students also need help with writing, and sometimes a recorded lecture they can revisit at their own pace. Bayise Tutor has three sections — Tutoring, Writing and lecture videos — so those needs are met in one place.

How we teach
Four things we hold to.
Explain, do not recite
A student who can explain a rule has learned it. A student who has memorised it has not.
Say what is not working
If a plan is not producing progress, we change it and say why, rather than continuing out of habit.
Keep it honest
We teach writing; we do not write a student's assignment for them. If a request crosses that line, we decline it.
